Mârkö Helmets, the story of a beautiful meeting between bikers

Mârkö Helmets is first of all the story of a beautiful meeting between three adventure and travel buff bikers (Marc, Pascal and Romain), whose paths crossed one fine day at a bend in a road winding Alps.

Driven by the same passion for travel and motorcycles, the three friends decided to pool their skills to create, in 2015, Mârkö Helmets , a brand of motorcycle helmets.

Then, the co-founders decide one day to put their know-how at the service of cyclists. This is how they created, in 2021, their very first bicycle helmet: the Tandem, a vintage bicycle helmet . Building on the success of this first collection, they then launched the Cadence range.

In each of Mârkö products resonates the love of nature, travel, adventure and self-transcendence, which drive each of the co-founders.

Sensitive to environmental issues , the creators of Mârkö also make it a point of honor to optimize the durability of their products and to choose high quality, handpicked materials.

Optimum comfort, in summer and winter

Mârkö bicycle helmets have been designed to offer you maximum comfort in summer and winter alike.

Thanks to the removable ear cups , your ears stay warm during long winter journeys!

The Tandem helmet is equipped with a removable clear visor , anti-scratch, which can be replaced by a smoked visor with UV protection. You will be able to pedal serenely in summer without risking being dazzled by the sun's rays. The visors also protect you against bad weather and other possible inconveniences (wind, insects, eye splashes, etc.) and offer you a wide field of vision to allow you to be perfectly comfortable when traveling by bike.

The Tandem is also equipped with triple ventilation on the outer shell, which facilitates the ventilation of the helmet and limits perspiration and heat during exercise. In addition, the air vents have covers to keep your head dry in heavy rain.

The Cadence is equipped with an integrated solar visor and a removable transparent visor to provide you, again, with absolute comfort on sunny days. The Cadence collection is equipped with a ventilation system that has 8 vents.

Mârkö bicycle helmets are also equipped with interior foam in breathable fabric : alcantara. This synthetic fiber, made up of polyurethane, polyester and microfibers, offers a soft, velvet-like feel and a suede-like appearance. This textile is recognized for its extreme quality.

In order to facilitate maintenance, the interior foam is completely removable and washable.

A robust shell to absorb shocks gently

In addition to their optimum comfort, Mârkö bicycle helmets guarantee you very good protection during your bike journeys.

They are in fact equipped with a robust and enveloping polycarbonate shell , which is inspired by motorcycle helmets. Polycarbonate is known for its excellent resistance to impacts and fractures (it is 250 times stronger than glass). This is the guarantee of optimal protection, with very good damping in the event of a fall (the shell is indeed designed to absorb shock gently and effectively protect the cranial box).

The Cadence is also equipped with an LED light integrated into the back of the shell, with 3 different levels of lighting, allowing you to be perfectly visible to other users during your night trips. This model also has an adjustable dial, at the back of the shell, which allows you to adjust the helmet so that it fits perfectly around the circumference of the skull. Its Fidlock closure system with a micrometric buckle allows you to open and close the helmet strap almost automatically, with one hand.

Mârkö helmets have CE EN1078 certification and are fully compliant with European standards.

A retro look and colors for all tastes

The Tandem is distinguished by its vintage style reminiscent of neo-retro motorcycle helmets. It is available in 5 colours : Ivory Cream; Champagne; Matt black carbon; Matte Titanium and Cherry.

The Cadence displays an urban, sober and elegant design . It is available in 7 colours : Cream; Red ; Orange ; Matte Black ; Shiny black ; Matte Titanium and Nardo Grey.

• Attention, for a speed-bike (electric bike whose speed can go up to more than 45 km / h, it is compulsory to wear an approved moped helmet: EN 22-05 or NTA-8766).

How to choose the right size for your Mârkö bicycle helmet?

The choice of the size of the bicycle helmet is an essential criterion: indeed, a helmet that is too large, which moves on the head, will not offer sufficient protection in the event of an impact.

To help you choose a helmet in your size, we invite you to consult the size guide displayed on each of our product sheets.

Mârkö Tandem bicycle helmets are available in 5 different sizes , from size XS (54/55cm) to size XL (60/61 cm). While the Cadence is offered in two sizes : size S / M (55-58cm) and size L / XL (59-61cm). Its tightening wheel allows you to adapt it perfectly to the size of your head.

Also remember to adjust the helmet properly using the adjustable chinstrap closure.

To know your size, measure your head circumference using a tape measure (failing this, a string and a ruler will do just fine). The tape measure should be well placed about 20mm above the eyebrows and on the occipital bump (the convex area at the back of the head).
