What is the exact power of the Hornit DB140 horn?

This horn offers two sound modes. The first reaches 140 dB, ideal for signaling your presence in heavy traffic. The second, at 121 dB, is suitable for quieter environments such as bike paths or residential areas.

Is the push button easy to use?

Yes, the button is connected to the horn by a flexible cable. It attaches to the handlebar grip with a rubber band, allowing you to sound the horn while keeping your hands on the brakes. This significantly improves safety in an emergency.

Is the horn waterproof?

The Hornit DB140 is IP44 certified. This means it is splash, rain, and dust resistant. It can therefore be used in all weather conditions, but should not be submerged.

What is the battery life?

The horn operates on two AAA batteries. Its battery life varies from 6 to 12 months, based on daily use, estimated at six one-second presses per day. The batteries are easily replaced via a hatch on the back.
