Is the bag waterproof?

The bag/saddlebag is made of water-repellent polyester, providing effective protection against light rain and splashes. However, for complete waterproofing in heavy rain, the use of an additional rain cover is recommended.

Can this bag be used as a backpack?

No, the bag/saddlebag is designed to be attached to a front rack and carried by hand or over the shoulder using its removable shoulder strap. For backpack use, Pelago offers other suitable models, such as the Totepack.
