What exactly is the Baltee B01 device used for?

The B01 is a connected safety accessory designed for users of soft mobility. It protects cyclists and scooter riders by integrating an anti-theft alarm, an audible warning device, an SOS button, and a fall detector with automatic alerts sent to predefined contacts.

Is the alarm really effective in deterring theft?

Yes, it emits a shrill alarm as soon as unauthorized movement is detected. The alarm can be deactivated via the app or a 3-press PIN code. This will quickly and effectively deter thieves.

How does fall detection work?

Thanks to its integrated accelerometer and gyroscope, the B01 identifies shocks or prolonged loss of movement. If there is no response within 15 seconds, an alert is automatically sent to your contacts via SMS and email.

Is the SmartFix fastening system secure?

Yes, SmartFix is based on two exclusive patents: a tamper-proof solenoid magnetic lock and a tool-free quick release. The device can only be removed via the app, providing optimal security.

What is the battery life of the B01 and how do I recharge it?

The B01 charges via a USB cable included in the box. Battery life varies depending on usage, but it's designed to last several days with normal use. Low battery alerts are available via the app.
