How does the Bike Tracker work to prevent bike theft?

The Invoxia Bike Tracker is equipped with a smart motion sensor. As soon as the bike is moved after more than 5 minutes of inactivity, an anti-theft alert is automatically sent to your smartphone via the mobile app. This system allows you to react immediately in the event of an attempted theft, even if you are at a distance.

What types of data does the Bike Tracker send and how often?

When the bike is in motion, the tracker sends position updates every 3, 5, or 10 minutes, depending on your settings. You also have access to the full ride history in the app. In stationary mode, the tracker remains in standby mode to save battery life, while keeping the anti-theft alert active.

What is the difference between a Bike Tracker and a simple GPS tracker with a SIM card?

The Bike Tracker uses low-power networks (Sigfox or LoRa) instead of a traditional mobile network. This allows it to have a much longer battery life (up to 3 months) and to operate without a SIM card. The network subscription is included for 3 years, making it a more economical, discreet, and sustainable solution.

How is the Bike Tracker installed and can it be easily located?

The Bike Tracker fits discreetly into a supplied rear reflector. It attaches to the bike frame with the included mounting screws. Once installed, it is very difficult to identify as a GPS tracker, preventing it from being spotted and removed by a thief.

What happens if the bike falls or the battery dies?

If the battery is low, an alert is sent to the app. It's then time to recharge the tracker using the included USB cable. If the bike falls or suffers an impact, no automatic alert will be sent as with a fall detector, but you can check the current position via the app at any time.

Is the Invoxia app easy to use and what features does it offer?

The Invoxia mobile app (iOS/Android) is simple and intuitive. It allows you to check your current location, configure anti-theft alerts, define security zones (geofencing), view your trip history, activate the proximity radar to find your bike, and manage your subscription. It's free and doesn't require any complex setup.
